Holden Brook Lane

See the video/comment on youtube.

Holden Brook Lane is 1370 meters long (0.85 miles) which took me 8.05 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 6.34 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
  2. Deep water
  3. Ford crossing (stream or river)
My description:

The river crossing warrants the 5 rating.

Otherwise it's a nice simple byway, drivable in any vehicle, I'm told it's easily passable when the water is low.

This byway is recommended.

We are getting so many abusive bikes down this lane. Been trashed. walkers and horses can not longer use it. at least it gives the moron bikes and 4wd riders something to do...........

Most bikers sensible and polite but some ruining it for everybody else. Bikes going off the byway onto private land damaging bluebell woods and riding up the river damaging the banks disturbing kingfisher nests. Other damage by 4x4`s they cannot drive and insist on driving up banks and verges causing damage. IDIOTS.
