Ash Lane

See the video/comment on youtube.

Ash Lane is 558 meters long (0.35 miles) which took me 2.49 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 8.43 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
My description:

Short but enjoyable lane, can be difficult coming up, wet chalk makes it hazardous.

Small ruts in places.

I hate wet chalk! It's worse than ice :|

Just did this track yesterday. Its my favorite in the area.I love the slow steady uphill left hander. Then you always have to hop up onto the side wall to get around the rocks in the rut. Then you get to the woody glade at the top and its the prettiest area around.Nice website.I wish I knew about it years ago.Or is it new?

Driven in my faithful Vitara recently(July 2012), found it very enclosed and overgrown due to lack of use! After running this very testing lane with my daughter, I would have to say you'll need to break out the T-cut! Leads to Folkington to Jevington Lane, the north end of which is temporary closed to vehicular traffic for repairs (6 months from 1st April 2012), notices are present and correct. Got the greenlaning bug now and want to thank the author for a well described website!
