Coopers Hill Road

See the video/comment on youtube.

Coopers Hill Road is 1300 meters long (0.81 miles) which took me 3.06 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 15.88 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
  2. Deep water
  3. Ford crossing (stream or river)
My description:

Very enjoyable byway, small stream crossing.

This byway is recommended.

Approached this from the south and was dismayed to see 2 parked cars blocking the access. Explained to the driver who had just arived that he was blocking a vehicular right of way and he moved - allowing the Forester access. It's a popular walking area so I can imagine this happens a lot. Nice water splash!

It is definitely a problem it being blocked from the south. However if you find the cars can not be moved there is a quite acceptable cut through 20m to the west. It is most certainly one of the better routes.

 Hi Again,
How on earth did GibbetCage get a Forester through that gap? Or does the camera distort the perspective enough that I can get my 6'5" wide Disco through there as well?
It occurs to me that these gaps should be 6'6" minimum, surely?
MAybe not though.
Cheers
