Blind Lane

See the video/comment on youtube.

Blind Lane is 364 meters long (0.23 miles) which took me 3.07 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 4.5 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
  2. Width Restriction (probably not for 4x4 vehicles)
My description:

Marked as byway at one end only.

Doesn't get much use, impassible to 4x4 traffic (probably) due to the width restriction.

Nice single track at the end. Hard to link up with other byways.

I see what you mean about the lack of 4x4 tracks, a lovely little lane.

12/10/2013 Excellent fun lane, I can confirm you can get a Land Rover through or even three as we did, from the south end it is an easy start, tarmac and then a wide well-kept grass track with fences. It is the same for about two thirds of the length but then tightens down with well-established trees and hedges. There are banks on the west side that will pitch the vehicle at about 25% and the Oak trees roots make the last corner great fun and a little challenging. Due to the trees to the east side restrict the high, so roof boxes and racks are not advised.
