Drake Lane

Drake Lane is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic) or an ORPA (other route with public access). You can expect to find:
- A non tarmac surface
- Gate(s)
- Deep Ruts
- Extreme mud
Nice climb, could be muddy in wet/winter discretion advised especially for heavy 4x4 users.
One of my favourite lanes of the day.

Excellent byway going from the Pilgrims Way at Hollingbourne northwards. Its only become a BOAT since about 1990 as before it was an unadopted road. KCC put it on the Def map with our blessing.

I drove this lane in July in the same direction in my standard Disco 1. Got thru ok with just a few scratches. It was quite overgrown in places and muddy,but nothin to cause any problems. A nice lane.
