Drake Lane

See the video/comment on youtube.

Drake Lane is 2550 meters long (1.58 miles) which took me 7.42 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 12.78 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
  2. Gate(s)
  3. Width Restriction (probably not for 4x4 vehicles)
My description:

Marked footpath at one end no sign at the other.

Nice long forest lane, first half is fine. Later some ruts and thin.

There is evidence of 4x4 use but im not sure on height/width. Check the video to be sure.

Not correctly signed in the middle or start.

Taken a 3 series land rover down it and it's tight but do-able.

Did it North to South on a Dirtbike following a mate's Landrover - very easy

Good track, quite steep in places, no problem for my Defender but in the wet you may struggle going up. Hope to try it though. The Dirty Habit Pub located 5 mins from the South exit, great spot for food or refreshments.

good lane been down here on my kmx, some really deep puddles that dont seem to dry out, a few purpose built steep slopes going into the lane and a huge playground for fun about 3/4 the way down deep puddles sticky mud etc.. one of my favorite lanes for sure :)

Great lane, just been down a few days ago on ktm (06/20) playground in the woods by the big field but is dry and rutted - seems to be more for 4x4’s there. Thank you Steve for taking the time to build this site. Amazing. RIP.
