Limekiln Forest Road

See the video/comment on youtube.

Limekiln Forest Road is 1030 meters long (0.64 miles) which took me 2.44 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 15.74 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
  2. A deadend
My description:

Nice lane but dead end. When you reach the forest you cannot progress further, even though on an OS map it's marked to continue on a yellow road?

There is no TRO sign at then end of the BOAT onto the UCR onto the broken tarmac road. Therefore it can be ridden since any offence is to disobey a traffic sigh; regardless of what paperwork exists by the HA. A perfectly good UCR with benign neglect.

Ridden up from the Jarvis Brook end is a nice enough ride but with a dead end and plenty of signs telling you that the woods is out of bounds to all traffic, although only a motorbike is actually pictured. When riding through the water splash please be aware that there is a deep step in the middle for no reason other than to bust bicycle wheels or throw cyclists off. Ridden in 2023
