Malthouse Lane

See the video/comment on youtube.

Malthouse Lane is 1510 meters long (0.94 miles) which took me 8.1 minutes to ride, at an average speed of 6.96 mph. It is a BOAT (byway open to all traffic). You can expect to find:

  1. A non tarmac surface
  2. Deep Ruts
  3. Deep water
  4. Extreme mud
  5. Width Restriction (probably not for 4x4 vehicles)
My description:

Tough byway, lots of water. Looks like it gets heavy use.

Part of the byway is not passable to 4x4 vehicles due to a width restriction, however that doesn't make it a deadend, there is an escape onto a road for 4x4 vehicles meaning you miss 290 meters of restricted width lane.

Whilst I was at the east end someone was installed a gate post.

Not sure if it will soon be gated.

Can you get a 4x4 in through cold harbour lane way and if too big to fit out just turn around, there looked like some room for a 4x4 to turn around there.
